Hydroelectric Power Plants Zeneris Sp. z o.o

Investment project – Construction of three hydro power plants with a total power of 12 MW

The proposed investment consists in the construction of three hydroelectric power plants in the River Vistula basin. The total planned installed capacity of generators is 12 MW, and the annual productivity is forecasted to reach the level of 63,000 MWh of electrical energy with a status of renewable energy.
Power from hydroelectric power plants is a truly ‘clean’ energy, i.e. it is not related with the emission of any pollutants and, compared with wind energy, is more stable and predictable.

The project aims at improving the hydro-morphological condition of the river through the stabilization of the riverbed bottom and raising the water table with the using of stabilization bars for power engineering purposes at the same time. The pro-ecological approach is greeted with sympathetic response from local authorities. The building permit for the project is expected to be issued by the end of this year.

Basic parameters of the hydroelectric power plant:

The complex of three hydroelectric power plants will have a total installed capacity of 12 MW. Based on the flow measurements made in the basin of River Vistula over the last 50 years (the so-called fifty-year period flows), taking into account draft technical designs of each hydroelectric power plant, the volumes of annual production of power have been predicted. The differences in the produced power result from differences in the water swell height.

Progress of works:

The Special Purpose Vehicle is at the final stage of receiving administrative decisions provided for by the law for the construction of hydro-engineering structures. The company is an owner or user of the land the hydroelectric power plant facilities are to be situated.
The administrative procedure is scheduled to conclude at the turn of 2008/2009 when the building permit is expected to be issued. The construction works are scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2009.
